So, for my Kingston day trip post I told you all about the fort and its history. Now I’ll show you what I wore that day!
You’ll recognize this skirt from my July Round-up post.
This skirt is in a lovely printed silk, is fully lined with a light peach lining and has a comfortable waistband that’s smooth along the front and elasticized in the back. I chose this because I felt it had a ton of outfit-making potential with all these gorgeous colours in it, and, my second favourite part; it was on sale!
Maeve skirt (via Anthropologie), Teeflo tank, H&M jean jacket, Von Eshna necklace, Cole Haan cross-body bag, Clark sandals
I kept the accessories minimal (because a. the busyness of the skirt itself, and b. I was at the cottage with no extra accessories other than the ones I wore there) but threw on my jean jacket. As with most days in late August, the mornings start off cool but by mid-day (on our outing), it was sweltering hot.

Thanks Kristi! Yes I suppose I have an affinity for flowers, don’t I?
If only we had the foresight to be able to keep those really great pieces from our youth, eh?
I love this skirt. It reminds me of this amazing dress I used to have in the 70′s when I was a teenager.
